Bring NUSS to your school

Across the country something exciting is happening, school students are coming together to take action on the issues that matter, from education and mental health to the climate crisis and the cost of living.

We’re building a National Union of School Students (NUSS): the national union representing secondary school students, including sixth form students, across England, Scotland and Wales.

You can join this growing movement by signing your school up as a member of NUSS. As a member of NUSS, students at your school will play an active role in national campaigns and have your voices heard by the government and other decision makers.

The more schools that are signed up to NUSS, the stronger we will be and the more likely we’ll be to win change.

‍

Membership of NUSS is free so signing your school up to NUSS couldn’t be simpler.

Here’s how:

  1. Speak to your classmates and others in your school about joining NUSS. It’ll be easier to make the case for joining NUSS if the suggestion is coming from a group of you.‍
  2. a) If your school has a school council, ask them to sign up. We’ll need the details of a key staff contact in your school so they’ll need to fill out the sign up form on behalf of your school council.
    ‍b) If your school doesn’t have a school council, speak to your form tutor about signing your school up to NUSS via this form. As a first step of your membership, we’ll then support your school to get a school council set up.
